हरियाणा के फरीदाबाद में डॉक्टर के घर से मिला 360 किलो संभावित अमोनियम नाइट्रेट, असॉल्ट राइफल भी बरामद

Security agencies have been alarmed after a large quantity of explosives and weapons were recovered from a rented house in Dhauj village, Faridabad district, Haryana. A joint operation by the Jammu and Kashmir Police, the Intelligence Bureau (IB), and the Haryana Police has foiled a potential major terrorist attack in North India. Initial investigations have revealed that the case is linked to an organized terrorist module with possible cross-border connections.

Adil’s arrest cracks the case

Jammu and Kashmir Police initially arrested Dr. Adil Ahmed Rathar. During interrogation, Adil provided crucial information about other members of the network and their activities. Based on this information, police detained another accused, Dr. Shakeel, on October 30. After extensive interrogation, Shakeel revealed that he had hidden a large quantity of explosives and weapons in Dhauj village, Faridabad. Based on his statement, police brought him to Faridabad on Sunday morning and identified the house, following which action was taken.

Muzammil’s Arrest

As the operation progressed, police arrested another accused, Dr. Muzammil, a teacher at Al-Falah University in Faridabad. Investigating agencies believe Muzammil was a key member of the entire terrorist module.

Large Quantity of Explosives and Weapons Recovered

During the raid, police recovered approximately 360 kg of suspected ammonium nitrate, a highly flammable substance used in the manufacture of IEDs (improvised explosive devices). Police stated that while it is not RDX, its explosive potential is extremely dangerous. In addition, approximately 5 kg of heavy metal, 20 timers, batteries, 24 remotes, electrical wiring, and several electronic circuits were also recovered.

These materials clearly indicate that the accused were planning to manufacture several high-capacity IEDs. The cache of weapons included an assault rifle (resembling an AK-47 but smaller in size), three magazines, 84 live cartridges, a pistol, eight live rounds, and two empty cartridges. In addition, 12 suitcases, several walkie-talkie sets, and other communication equipment were also seized.

Indications of a Major Conspiracy

Investigative agencies suspect that the arrested accused are part of an active terrorist module aiming to carry out a large-scale attack in northern India. According to police officials, if this explosive material had not been recovered in time, a major terrorist attack could have occurred. A senior official described it as a “major breakthrough,” saying that this action has averted a major attack in the country.

All the recovered materials have been sent for forensic examination. Intelligence agencies are now investigating the network’s funding, cross-border connections, local facilitators, and digital trail. According to police sources, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) may soon join the case.

Police Commissioner Provides Information

Faridabad Police Commissioner Satyendra Gupta stated in a press conference that a joint team of Haryana, Faridabad, and Jammu and Kashmir police has been conducting continuous operations for the past few days. He said the main accused, Dr. Muzammil, was arrested 9-10 days ago and the operation is still ongoing. Gupta stated that the source of the weapons and how they were transported to Faridabad are matters of investigation. He clarified that due to national security reasons, it is not possible to share more details at this time.
