Another rail accident, 3 coaches of goods train derailed near Rourkela railway station

Three coaches of a goods train derailed near Rourkela railway station in Odisha’s Sundargarh district on Wednesday, officials said. No casualties have been reported so far, they said. However, the coaches of the goods train reached close to the slums and a mishap was averted.
After derailing, the three wagons went close to the houses of people near the railway tracks in the Malgodown slum. A slum dweller said, as soon as the wagons moved towards our colony, we ran away from our houses. Due to the mishap, traffic on the Railway Gate-Basanti Colony route has been disrupted.
