Three children were killed and two others injured when a car carrying them home from school fell into a pond in Uluberia, police said.

Three children were killed and two others injured when a car carrying them from school fell into a pond in Uluberia in West Bengal’s Howrah district on Monday, police said.
They said the accident occurred around 3:30 pm near Bohira Chowrasta in Uluberia. A senior police officer said the deceased children were identified as Ishika Mondal (seven), Arin Dey (nine) and Soubhik Das (11).
“The children were rushed to a nearby hospital, where three were declared dead. The other two are undergoing treatment,” a senior police officer said.
