24 shops were gutted in a fire in Kath Bazaar area of Firozabad district of Uttar Pradesh on Sunday. Fire engines were pressed into service to douse the fire and no casualties have been reported so far.
Superintendent of Police (Firozabad) Sarvesh Kumar Mishra said that the fire has not been controlled yet and the area has been evacuated. He said, “We received information about an hour ago that a fire has broken out in the Kath Bazaar area, where furniture work is done. The fire has not been controlled yet. About 24 shops have been gutted in the fire. “
