Police said in a statement that the Mufassil police station received information that two persons were shot by unidentified bike-borne assailants near the old BSNL office.

Two people were shot dead by unknown bike-borne assailants in Bihar’s Saran district, police said. The incident took place in the Mufasil police station area, police said. The deceased have been identified as Amarendra Singh and Shambhu Singh.
“Muffasil police station received information that two people were shot by unknown bike-borne assailants near the old BSNL office. As soon as the information was received, our team reached the spot and both the injured victims were rushed to the nearby government hospital. However, both of them died during treatment,” police said in a statement.
Police said the bodies have been sent for postmortem. Saran Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kumar Ashish told reporters, “Amarendra Singh and Shambhu Singh were active in the business of buying and selling land in the area. The real reason behind the incident is not clear yet, but business rivalry cannot be ruled out. The case is under investigation and the accused will be nabbed soon.”
