A car fell off a culvert in Chhattisgarh’s Kondagaon district, killing two people, including a woman, and injuring four others. Police officials gave this information on Saturday.
Officials said that the car occupants were going to Prayagraj from Bengaluru in Karnataka to attend the Maha Kumbh Mela.
They said that the accident took place near Borgaon in Farasgaon police station area on National Highway-30 at around 6:45 am today.
According to officials, members of a family were going to Prayagraj in two cars from Bengaluru. When the car reached near Borgaon, it went out of control at a turn, slipped off the road, fell down from a small culvert and hit a tree.
They said, “Two people died on the spot and four others were injured in the accident.”
According to officials, a person called the ambulance and police after which the police reached the spot. Later the police took the bodies and the injured to Farasgaon Hospital.
He said that the police have registered a case and the matter is being investigated.
