On the occasion of Independence Day, a horrific road accident took place in Bardhaman district of West Bengal. 10 people died and 30 people were injured in the accident.
It is being told that a private bus full of passengers collided with the rear of a truck parked on the roadside. The collision was so severe that the front part of the bus was badly damaged. There was a lot of screaming on the spot after the accident. Many passengers were trapped in the bus.
After getting information about the accident, the police-administration team reached the spot and started relief and rescue work. With the help of a crane, the bus was separated from the truck and the trapped passengers were taken out.
The seriously injured passengers have been admitted to Bardhaman Medical College and other nearby hospitals with the help of ambulances. The police have registered a case and started investigating the matter.
